WHAT IS EXECUTIVE COACHING?

In the journey of our academic pursuits, from school to college and even through graduate studies, we often sought extra guidance to hone our skills. Yet, as we transition into our professional lives, something changes. We find ourselves hesitant to seek help, perhaps believing that we should have all the answers by now. But let me ask you this: have you ever reached out to a teacher, coach, or mentor when you've felt stuck in your professional endeavors? Despite the myriad of training sessions your organization may offer, do they truly address your needs and aspirations? It's a common realization that the support systems we once relied on seem to fade away as we step into the professional arena.

................However, it's precisely at this pivotal moment that we must recognize the power of seeking guidance. Enter executive coaching – a beacon of light amidst the challenges of professional life. It serves as the guiding hand we often overlook, the catalyst for turning aspirations into actions and dreams into realities. In the realm of professional challenges – be it communication hurdles, time management struggles, the art of effective delegation, navigating complex relationships, or honing leadership skills – executive coaching stands ready to walk alongside you. It's the ally you've been searching for, offering tailored support to help you conquer the obstacles that stand between you and your goals.

Executive Coaching is the guiding you need to take action for desired results. You face lot of challenges in your professional life for example communication issued, poor time management, effective delegation, managing your boss, negotiation, leadership skills development, interpersonal conflict, etc. Executive coaching is here to support you to overcome these challenges.

Executive coaching programs focus on helping you learn to lead in a way that is natural to you - because you have your own unique blend of leadership skills. My approach in executive coaching is influenced by countless best practices in leadership, communication effectiveness and emotional mastery. I have been teaching for so many years in my part-time teaching career and also applying these in my professional career (See my profile). I feel that I need to offer my executive coaching service so that you become the powerful leader you need to be. As I been this journey, I will be focusing on transforming your career to the next level.

The Structure of my Executive Coaching

Executive coaching begins with a Strategy Session. In this session, I identify your strengths and challenges. We set goals, discover how you sabotage yourself and decide what support you’re looking for. I start by checking in on your wins and challenges, exploring your thought process and reviewing action steps. With these insights, I become your partner, committed to helping you create results.

Executive coaching sessions typically occur weekly and take one hour each. We meet in person, over the phone or online, whichever works best. Throughout the week you’re invited to check-in by phone or e-mail to make sure you’re in action on your plans and not stalled.

During the session, I challenge your thinking, provide feedback and recommend tasks, tools and resources for moving you forward. We work to create “ah ha” breakthroughs and functional action plans for the week. Each session ends with you committing to specific measurable action steps. My top goal is for you to feel like I’ve got your back, unconditionally, while I seek to inspire and motivate you. I hold you accountable, track your progress and believe in you, even when you don’t believe in yourself!

I help you break through the invisible barrier that's holding back your growth. By making things clear, we make your growth happen, giving you more of your most important resource—time.

How 1 on 1 Coaching Works

Imagine having your own personal guide to tackle specific goals or challenges in your life – that's the magic of one-on-one coaching. It's an excellent choice, especially if you're not keen on working in a group. However, before you decide which coaching path to take, let's dive into some key differences between individual and group coaching.

First off, individual coaching tends to be pricier because you're paying exclusively for the coach's undivided time and attention. In a group setting, the coach can divide their focus among multiple clients, making it a more budget-friendly option for everyone.

In group sessions, the spotlight is on sharing experiences, fostering a collective learning environment. On the flip side, if you prefer working independently, setting your own pace, and making strides toward your goals solo, individual coaching might be the better fit.

Consider your personality too. Introverts who thrive on one-on-one interactions often find solace in 1-on-1 coaching sessions. In contrast, extroverts who thrive in team settings may lean towards the collaborative nature of group coaching.

So, how do you decide which coaching style suits you best? It boils down to your goals, budget, and personality. If you're uncertain, consult with a coach about your options. Their expertise can guide you in assessing your needs and recommending the approach that aligns with your unique journey. The power to choose is in your hands!

    My Approach to 1-ON-1 Coaching

The step-by-step process during a 1-on-1 coaching session can vary based on the coach's methodology and the specific needs of the individual being coached. However, here is a generalized outline that many coaches follow:

Step 1: Introduction and Rapport Building:

The session usually begins with a warm welcome and an opportunity for the coach and client to build rapport. This helps establish a comfortable and open atmosphere for the coaching relationship.

The coach and client collaboratively set the agenda for the session. The client may bring specific topics or challenges they want to discuss, or the coach may guide the agenda based on the client's overall goals.

      Step 2: Agenda Setting:

      Step 3: Goal Clarification:

The coach and client clarify and refine the client's goals. This may involve discussing short-term and long-term objectives, identifying challenges, and exploring the client's vision for success.

The coach may use reflective questioning to help the client gain insights into their thoughts, feelings, and actions. This self-reflection aids in identifying patterns and areas for growth.

      Step 4: Assessment and Reflection:

      Step 5: Action Planning:

Together, the coach and client develop a concrete action plan to address the client's goals. This plan includes specific, achievable steps that the client commits to taking before the next session.

Depending on the nature of the coaching, the coach may provide guidance, tools, and strategies to help the client build specific skills or overcome challenges.

Step 6: Skill Building and Strategies:

      Step 7: Accountability:

The coach and client discuss accountability measures. This ensures the client remains committed to their action plan and helps track progress between sessions.

The coach provides constructive feedback and facilitates a discussion on the client's experiences, successes, and challenges. This feedback loop is crucial for continuous improvement.

      Step 8: Feedback and Discussion:

Step 9: Closing and Next Steps:

The session concludes with a summary of key insights, action items, and a discussion of the next steps. The coach and client may also schedule the next session at this point.

Between sessions, the client works on their action plan, and the coach may provide additional resources or support as needed. Follow-up communication ensures a continuous support system.

      Step 10: . Follow-Up:
